Goode Realty

4751 Main St Suite F212 Orange Beach AL 36561

I have invested in short term rental properties for the past several years and have enjoyed financial success through self-managing our rentals through an online platform and consistently maintained high occupancy rates while generating gross yearly income above six figures. Nothing makes me happier than finding a property that needs some TLC and turning a “diamond in the rough” into a relaxing coastal retreat for family and guests to enjoy. I feel so blessed to have the privilege of sharing the natural beauty of our beautiful Gulf Coast paradise with others.

My experience has inspired me to pursue a career in real estate so that I can assist other folks with listing or buying property. I know how to bring out the best features of a property and successfully market its unique characteristics. One thing I’ve learned is that it does not always require a large budget to stage a property and bring out its appeal. Even small touches can help a property look fresh and inviting. I also have an eye for finding properties that meet the needs of my clients, whether they are investors or folks just looking for a place for their family and friends to relax and reconnect while enjoying the natural beauty of our coastal community.

I recently retired from a career as an endangered species biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). I began my career with the USFWS as a student Intern right here at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge in Gulf Shores, Alabama where I had the opportunity to work with several species of sea turtles and a habitat enhancement project for the Alabama beach mouse. I studied Wildlife Biology at the University of Montana (Go Griz!) in Missoula, Montana, where I earned B.S. and M.S degrees in that field of study.

The Gulf Coast of Alabama is blessed with the most biologically diverse ecosystem in the United States. The abundant natural beauty of our local environment is what distinguishes lower Alabama from other coastal communities. However, protecting our local wildlife and biologically diverse environment often involves regulations and permitting, which can seem overwhelming. Throughout my former career I gained significant expertise regarding environmental regulatory permitting. This experience allows me to assist my clients with understanding the permitting process while they are considering investment in a property that may be located in an environmentally sensitive area.

My husband and I reside on the north shore of the Little Lagoon, where we enjoy access to the water for kayaking and fishing, and the local biking and hiking trails. As members of the local community, we are dedicated to responsible management and protection of the natural resources we enjoy. I am currently serving as the Vice President of the Little Lagoon Preservation Society (https://littlelagoon.org/ ), and we are also active volunteers with the Alabama Share the Beach Program (https://www.joinacf.org/stb ). It brings us joy to volunteer with these organizations and do our part to contribute to the protection of the natural environment that makes the Alabama coast such an amazing place to live, work, and recreate. I would love to have the privilege of assisting you with finding the property in our wonderful community that suits the needs of you and your family!
